Otcem nápadu a hlavní hybnou silou je Jan Vlcek.Absolvent vysoké školy dopravní, zakladatel soukromého rejdarství, firem Pragolf a Raon.Jako nadšený lodar, golfista a vizionár definoval predstavu o skloubení velkomesta, zelene a reky v oázu sportu, odpocinku a spolecenského života na Rohanském ostrove.Od roku 2003 je v provozu atraktivní, velmi dobre frekventovaná, driving range.Ve stádiu prípravy je projekt golfového hrište.Místo stavby klasické klubovny golfového klubu, kterou nelze z duvodu možných záplav realizovat, vymyslel svetobežník a zkušený lodar plovoucí objekt.Ten je vtipný, atraktivní a v golfovém svete ojedinelý.V hamburském Peutehafenu vyhrála firma Pragolf konkurs a odkoupila puvodní klubovou lod vyrobenou v lodenicích v Brémách.Již zájem o dobrodružný transport plavidla do Prahy je jedním z dobrých duvodu golfYacht navštívit.Dalším, ješte nárocnejším úkolem bylo navrhnout novou dispozici využití lode a zabezpecit kvalitní prestavbu.Spoluprací s designérem Miro Pištekem, puvodem z Teplic, žijícím a pracujícím v Bayreuthu, vznikl nový duch celého projektu i jeho název - "golfYacht".Lod dostala "uniformu" obrovské jachty se ctyrmi palubami. Na 2400 m² využitelné plochy nabízí 34 hotelových pokoju (z toho 9 luxusních apartmánu), exkluzivní restauraci pro 60 hostu s VIP salónkem a terasou, golfshop a wellness s thajskými masážemi. Sportovne-konferencní sál je vybaven tremi moderními golfovými trenažéry.Soucástí golfYacht je vlastní putting green, rozlehlá slunecní terasa z týkového dreva s unikátním golfovým odpalištem prímo z nejvetší golfové jachty sveta.Puvodní lodTato puvodne klubovní lod kotvila v Hamburku, kde tvorila soucást prístavu Peutehafen, který melo Ceskoslovensko pronajato na základe Versailleských dohod. Plavidlo postavili v r. 1979 v brémské lodenici a sloužilo bývalému státnímu rejdarství CSPL jako klubovna, ceská restaurace, kino a ubytovna pro ceské zamestnance v Hamburku. Varila se tu klasická ceská jídla, cepovalo plzenské pivo a to vše za ceské ceny. Není divu, že klubovní lod byla v Hamburku známá a oblíbená. CSPL ale skoncilo v konkurzu a ten neprežila ani klubovní lod, která se dostala do dražby.Jan Vlcek - otec nápadu a hlavní hybná síla - se zúcastnil konkurzu a jako nadšenému lodari, golfistovi a vizionári se mu podarilo zvítezit nad nemeckými zájemci, kterí chteli z lodi udelat plovoucí "verejný dum". Vítezství v konkurzu však znamenalo jen zacátek. Další etapou, neméne složitou, se stala preprava klubovní lode z Hamburku do Prahy.Preprava do PrahyPlavidlo bylo nejprve v lodenici Buschmann v Hamburku vytaženo z vody, zkontrolováno ceským lodním registrem a po provedení všech kontrol uznáno zpusobilé k preprave do CR. Následoval pomerne velmi výjimecný transport klubovní lode z Hamburku do Prahy, který zabezpecil tlacný remorkér. Preprava díky klimatickým podmínkám a zvýšenému vodnímu stavu byla velmi nárocná a musela být 3x prerušená - v Dráždanech, Decíne, ale predevším v Melníku. Tam došlo k zásadnímu problému. Z duvodu nepresného výpoctu a zakreslení vjezdového portálu secesní plavební komory Horínského kanálu klubovní lod neprojela výškove do portálu plavební komory - chybelo 50 cm! Co ted? 65 m dlouhý, 10 m široký a 5,05 m vysoký kolos uvízl po strastiplné 700 km dlouhé plavbe pouhých 30 km pred cílem cesty! To Jan Vlcek nemohl vzdát. Z možných rešení bylo zvoleno sice technologicky i legislativne velmi nárocné, ale pro lod nejšetrnejší - snížení hladiny Labe v Melníku. Díky perfektní spolupráci a koordinaci dispecinku Povodí Vltavy a Povodí Labe se podarilo snížit na 2 hodiny hladinu Labe o 1 metr a projet tak do Horínského kanálu. Následne po nekolika hodinách plavby vplula klubovní lod do cíle své cesty a nového kotvište - do Prahy. Prestavba Jenom co byly zdolány prepravní problémy, už tu byl ješte nárocnejší úkol: vymyslet novou dispozici a využití lode a zabezpecit kvalitní prestavbu. Po nejakém case hledání potkal Jan Vlcek skvelého designéra - Miro Pišteka, puvodem z Teplic, žijícího a pracujícího v Bayreuthu. Tak vznikl nejen nový design exteriéru i interiéru lodi, ale predevším nový duch celého projektu vcetne nového názvu "golfYacht".V nem se spojila jak výjimecná designérská rešení se zkušenostmi z návrhu interiéru na jachtách, tak i ryzí láska ke golfu.Soucasný stavLod dostala "uniformu" obrovské jachty se ctyrmi palubami. Na svých 2400m² obytné plochy nabídne 34 pokoju hotelového typu (vcetne devíti luxusních apartmánu). Exkluzivní restaurace s VIP salónem a terasou, Golfshop a Wellness s masážemi jsou samozrejmostí. Golfový-konferencní sál je vybaven barem a tremi moderními golfovými trenažéry.Soucástí golfYacht je vlastní putting green, rozlehlá slunecní terasa z týkového dreva, která se dá využít jako prírodní solárium a unikátní golfové odpalište prímo z nejvetší golfové jachty sveta.V techto dnech se dokoncuje prestavba lodi, po které bude následovat zarízení interiéru. Zároven probíhá výber veškerých doplnku až do posledního detailu, príprava jídelního lístku i nabídky zajímavého využití volného casu pro budoucí hosty golfYacht.BudoucnostCelá golfYacht je koncipována jako luxusní zázemí golfového areálu na Rohanském ostrove se ctyrhvezdickovým/ctyrkotvickovým hotelem. A graduate in transport studies, he founded a private shipping line, the Pragolf and Rayon companies. Also a keen golfer and boat enthusiast, this visionary conceived the idea of merging river, open green spaces and city to form an oasis of sport, relaxation and entertainment on Rohan island (Rohanský ostrov).An attractive and very popular driving range has been in operation since 2003, while planning designs for a golf course development are already well advanced. And since, due to the flood risk, a traditional style clubhouse is not an option here, Jan Vlcek the world traveller and shipping specialist decided instead on a property that would float. This radical idea had huge and instant appeal and is unique within the golfing world. At the Peute docks in Hamburg, the Pragolf company successfully bid for the Bremen-built vessel which had served as club flagship of the Czech Inland Navigation line.Interest in the property's eventful journey to its new mooring is in itself good reason to visit the golfing yacht in Prague.Another even more exacting task was to draw up plans reflecting the boat's new role and to carry out the necessary high-spec conversion work. In collaboration with Miro Pistek, the designer from northern Bohemia who currently lives and works in Bayreuth, the entire project took on new life and the name "golfYacht".The vessel was fitted out as a giant yacht with four decks. An area of 2400m² provides 34 hotel rooms (including 9 luxury apartments). Other facilities include an exclusive restaurant seating 60, a VIP lounge, terrace, golf shop and a health centre with Thai massage. The sports/conference suite is equipped with a bar and 3 state-of-the-art indoor golf simulators. There's also a putting green, and an enormous teak sun terrace with a sensational and unique tee-off from the biggest golfing yacht in the world. Origins Originally serving in Hamburg as the club flagship of the former Czech state shipping company CSPL, which was later to end in bankruptcy, this clubhouse boat was a part of the Peutehafen port which Czechoslovakia rented under the provisions of the Treaty of Versailles. Built in Bremen in 1979, it served as clubhouse, restaurant, cinema and boarding house for Czech employees in Hamburg. Typical Czech food was cooked here, Pilsner beer was on draught, and all for Czech prices. No wonder then that the clubhouse vessel enjoyed great popularity in Hamburg. However, when the affairs of the CSPL were wound up, the clubhouse eventually had to close too.Jan Vlcek, with his passion for boats and for golf and as the visionary and motive force behind the project, took part in the tender process, bidding successfully against German interested parties who wanted to make of it a floating "public house".Winning the tender, however, was just the beginning of the clubhouse vessel's highly complicated journey from Hamburg to Prague.Transport to PragueThe boat was first removed from the water at the Buschmann shipyard in Hamburg for inspection by the Czech shipping registry authorities; once all the regulation checks had been carried out, approval for transportation to the Czech Republic was granted. A quite extraordinary journey taking the clubhouse boat from Hamburg to Prague with the aid of a tugboat then ensued. As a result of the weather conditions and increased volume of water, progress became very demanding and had to be halted on three separate occasions - in Dresden, in Decín, and most seriously in Melník, where the main problem arose. Due to a miscalculation relating to the entrance gantry of the Art-Nouveau style Horínský Canal locks, the vessel was found to be 50cm too high to pass through into the lock chamber! What next?After seven hundred stressful kilometers and with only a further thirty to go to its final destination, this 65m long, 10m wide and 5.05m high giant was stuck. Jan Vlcek could not give up now. From the few feasible solutions, a technically and legally complex option, which did however prioritise the vessel's safety, was chosen: to lower the level of the Elbe at Melník. Thanks to the smooth cooperation and coordinated efforts of the authorities, the level of the Elbe was successfully lowered for a period of two hours by one meter, allowing the boat to sail through the Horínský Canal. After a few more hours underway, the clubhouse boat finally reached its destination, Prague, and its new mooring site. ReconstructionOnce the transportation problems were overcome, an even more difficult task awaited: to create a successful new role for the boat and to ensure a high quality rebuild. After a period of some uncertainty, Jan Vlcek met up with a superb designer, Miro Pistek, originally from Teplice in northern Bohemia, but then living and working in Bayreuth. And from this new partnership there came into being not only the new designs, both exterior and interior, but also the new spirit of the enterprise, including the "golfYacht" name.This not only incorporated exceptional design solutions but linked a passion for golf with a wealth of experience in designing and fitting out yacht interiors. Current statusThe vessel was fitted out in new livery as a giant yacht with four decks, and offers 34 hotel rooms (of which 9 are luxury apartments) in an area of 2400 m², plus an exclusive restaurant, a VIP lounge and terrace, Golf Shop and a Wellness health centre with Thai massage. There is also a sports/conference suite equipped with a bar and 3 state-of-the-art indoor golf simulators. The golfYacht has its own putting green, an extensive teak sun terrace which invites you to relax on the deck of this open-air solarium, and a unique golf driving range with a sensational and unique tee-off from the biggest golfYacht in the world. The rebuild is currently being brought to a close, and the interior refit too is approaching completion. Meanwhile, selected furnishings and accessories are being prepared, menus evolved and tested, and activity packages generated in readiness for our golfYacht guests.Future Incorporating a 4-star/anchor hotel, the golfYacht is designed as a luxurious base for the golf facilities on Rohan Island.
